Police Release Surveillance Footage Of Suspect In Newkirk Medical Plaza Arson
Following two incidents of arson at Boro Park Obstetrics & Gynecology (1414-A Newkirk Plaza) in Newkirk Medical Plaza, police are asking for the public’s help finding the suspect who was captured on the above surveillance footage.
According to a release issued by the NYPD this afternoon, the suspect used a fire hydrant cap to break the medical office’s door at 1:56am on Sunday, May 17. Then, at about 4am today, Friday, May 22, the same individual used a sledge hammer to break the office’s doors, police said.
Employees told us at the scene of the crime earlier today that the suspect also threw Molotov cocktails into the building both on Sunday and today.
During both incidents, no one was inside the building and no injuries have been reported.
Nothing was stolen on Sunday or today, according to employees.
