Police On The Lookout For Trio Of Williamsburg Bike Thieves

WILLIAMSBURG – Police are seeking three men wanted in connection with a bike theft outside a posh Williamsburg development earlier this month.

It wasn’t long after a 34-year man locked his bike up outside 65 Ainslie Street on the evening Wednesday, September 6, that the bike thieves came cruising. While it was still light out, the trio pulled up and set to work disabling the lock, stealing the man’s bike—worth about $1,400.

The operation was caught on surveillance video, seen below:

Police describe the suspects as three white men, the first in his 20s or 20s, last seen wearing a gray long sleeve jacket, shorts and dark sneakers, riding a bike with a baby seat. The next, in his late teens or 20s, last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, gray shorts, pink socks and black sneakers, and riding a folding bike. The last was also described to be in his late teens or 20s, last seen wearing a blue and black long sleeve jacket, shorts and dark sneakers, and carrying a black bag.
