Police Looking for Local Man Who Left Bellevue Still in Hospital Gown
UPDATE 3/6/13: The NYPD reports that Maurice has been found and is in good health.
The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 22-year-old Maurice Nowlin, who was reported missing after being admitted to Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital on Monday, March 4, at about 4:30pm. At that time, police say Maurice left the hospital without warning while still wearing a hospital gown.
Police say Maurice lives on East 24th Street at Farragut Road. He is described as 5’8″ tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes.
A quick search shows Maurice is apparently an aspiring actor. There’s a very sweet video of Maurice (a few, actually) on YouTube — this one in particular, in which he talks about wanting to be an entertainer. Here’s his reel, uploaded about a year ago, and you can see more videos with him in them through his creative collective called The New York Kids.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting your tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
