Police Look Into Williamsburg Grand Larcenies

Police are searching for two individuals wanted for questioning regarding two different grand larcenies in Williamsburg.

The first took place on Wednesday, April 27th, when an individual entered Zablozki’s Bar, 106 North 6th St, at approximately 8:00pm and removed a purse containing a wallet, police said. The individual then proceeded to make a $30 credit card transaction at nearby CVS Pharmacy.

Police described the individual as a black male, last seen wearing a light hooded sweatshirt, a black bubble jacket, black jeans and black sneakers. The individual can be seen in surveillance footage captured at Zablozki’s bar.

A previous grand larceny took place in the same area Saturday, April 15th, at a party at a residence in the area of Bedford Ave and North 9th St. At approximately 9:30pm, an individual entered a bedroom and took a purse containing credit cards, which were then used at 2:00am to make a $30 transaction at The Bagelsmith Bedford on 189 Bedford Ave, police said.

The individual wanted for questioning is described by police as a black male, approximately 5’11” and 160lbs, last seen wearing a black sweater, black jeans, and black and red sneakers. The individual can be seen in a surveillance photo from the Bagelsmith shop.

The two crimes are as of yet unrelated, according to police.
