Police Hunt For Men Who Tried To Kidnap Fort Greene 10-Year-Old

A 10-year-old girl may have had a close call with attempted kidnappers on Monday, March 9, as she walked home from school at around 4:05pm near North Portland Avenue and Myrtle Avenue, said police.

The girl was allegedly approached by a BMW X3 SUV from which two men called out to her, asking if she would join them in the car. The girl ran away and the suspects then fled.

The suspects are described at two black males in their late 20s or early 30s.

According to the New York Post, police are also investigating whether the same men are involved in a pattern of attempted kidnappings in the city.
