Looking for something to do with the whole family this week? From a chance to have some fun with fleece, to a free screening of Up, to roller skating with your toddler, there are a lot of great kid-friendly events coming up in our area. See the full details below!

Nature Exploration

Where: Audubon Center, Prospect Park
What: Families can enjoy a variety of activities, from games for bird nerds to Citizen Science projects to a chance to meet a resident snake.

Story Craft

Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Kids will hear a story, and then create a craft based on it.

Movies @ The Library: Up
When: Friday, May 29, 3:30pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Learn how sometimes life’s biggest adventures aren’t the ones you set out looking for in this adorable animated feature.

Explore & Create

What: Roll up your sleeves and join the kids in some arts and crafts!

Story Play

What: Kids up to age 5 are invited to hear a story and play with toys.

Pop-Up Audubon
When: Saturdays & Sundays, 11am-4pm
Where: Eastwood, Prospect Park
What: This month, through hikes, birding tours, and more, families will get to know a thing or two about the wonderful warblers that visit the park at this time of year.
How much: Free!

Pop-Up Audubon II
When: Saturdays & Sundays, 11am-4pm
Where: Peninsula, Prospect Park
What: This month, you’ll get to monitor the development of plants that supply food and shelter for birds in Prospect Park through a range of activities.
How much: Free!

Peanut Butter & Cupcake Storytime
When: Saturday, May 30, 2pm
Where: Barnes & Noble, 267 7th Avenue
What: When a little piece of bread is feeling lonely, the only thing to do is find a friend! Bring the kids to this storytime, which is followed by some special activities.
How much: Free!

Fleece Fun
When: Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24, 2-4pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: See how wool was used on a Flatbush farm! Kids will be able to brush the wool with carding paddles, spin yarn using a drop spindle, and even make a felt ball to take home with them.
How much: $3 suggested donation.

Toddler Tuesdays
When: Tuesday, June 2, 9:30am
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Enjoy some toddler-only dedicated skate time on the rink, as kids ages 2-5 and their caregivers will skate to instructor-led games, music, play-based activities — plus there are snacks and beverages.
How much: $15 for one child and accompanying adult; adult skate rentals are $5 (kid skate and helmet rentals are included). Tickets available in advance.

Toddler Time

What: Bring the little ones by the library for stories, songs, and playtime.
