Looking for something fun to do with the kids this week? Help paint a mural at a local school, make a crafty gift for Mother’s Day, run/walk/toddle to raise money for your PTA, and some other great events are coming up in the neighborhood. Details on those and more:

Kings Bay Y Disco Time
When: Wednesday, May 7, 10:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Ready to party? Yoni the Puppet is bringing an interactive Hebrew story time and sing-a-long to the Park Slope Library. Expect lots of dancing, smiles, and laughter from your little Park Sloper! Recommended for kids ages 0-5.
How much: Free, but tickets (one per family) are required, so arrive early to secure to spot.

Story Craft
When: Thursday, May 8, 3:30pm
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Kids up to age 5 are welcome to hear a story, then make a craft.
How much: Free!

Game On!
When: Thursday, May 8, 3:30pm
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: If you’ve got a kid who’s into board games, they can enjoy a bunch at the library — just ask at the children’s reference desk to sign them out.
How much: Free!

Miss Nina’s Friday Morning Sing-Along
When: Friday, May 9, 10am
Where: Two Moon Art House & Cafe, 315 4th Avenue
What: Miss Nina and her pink guitar take you and your children through move-along, sing-along songs – both traditional and original – as well as her specialty, those fun book songs!
How much: $10/family

Explore & Create: Arts And Crafts For Kids
When: Friday, May 9, 4pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: A weekly, free drop-in program where kids can roll up their sleeves and explore their artistic side. This week’s, make something special for mom for Mother’s Day!
How much: Free!

Paint A Mural At PS 282
When: Saturday, May 10, 9am-5pm
Where: PS/MS 282, 180 6th Avenue
What: The painting portion of a brand new, giant mural is now underway, and neighbors are welcome and encouraged to stop by to help! All skill levels are welcome.

Brooklyn PTA 5k Fun Run
When: Saturday, May 10, 10am
Where: Prospect Park
What: Families are invited to come “run/walk/stroll/toddle” through Prospect Park to raise money for area schools.
How much: Registration is $20 for individuals, and $5 for each additional family member (up to 5 people).

Jungle Jam: A Zany Musical Adventure
When: Saturday, May 10, 1pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: This exciting musical comedy explores animals from around the world…including a trip back in time to the days of dinosaurs!
How much: Free!

History In Your Hands: Fleece Fun
When: Saturday, May 10, 2-4pm (runs every Saturday & Sunday in May)
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: See how wool was used on a colonial farm! Brush the wool with carding paddles, spin yarn using a drop spindle, and even make a felt ball to take home with you.
How much: $3 suggested donation.
