Cool Off At Lakeside’s Splash Pad
When: Seven days a week through Labor Day, 10am-7pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Children ages 12 and under can cool off with dozens of water jets shooting out of LeFrak Center’s outside rink.
How much: Free!
KIDtivity Wednesdays
When: Wednesday, July 29, 11am-4pm
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Start KIDtivity Wednesday with a fitness class wit PopFit Kids, then stick around for a puppet show by Puppetsburg at 1pm. KIDtivity Wednesday will close out with a cooking class by Creative Kitchen at 4pm for kids, ages 2-5. All classes are free and reservations can be made online.

Sing-Along With Debbie Deane
When: Wednesday, July 29, 11am
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue
What: Belt out some family favorites with local mom and recording artist Debbie Deane.

A Summer Movie Under The Stars
When: Wednesday, July 29, 7pm
Where: Long Meadow North, Prospect Park
What: Bring your blankets to a free showing of Where the Wild Things Are in Prospect Park, sponsored by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

Jam With The Dad Beats
When: Thursday, July 30, 11am
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue
What: Made up of three real-live Brooklyn dads (and neighbors), The Dad Beats traverse surf, rock and country grooves to deliver playful reimaginings of your childhood favorites.
How much: $10 per family
Family Fishing Evening
When: Thursday, July 30, 6-8pm
Where: Audubon Center at the Boathouse, Prospect Park
What: Prospect Park Alliance is hosting an introductory catch-and-release fishing class for families with kids ages 8 and up. All gear and light refreshments will be provided.
How Much: Free!
Drop-In Sing Along With Lucy Kalantari
When: Friday, July 31, 10am
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue
What: With her charm and musical talents, Lucy Kalantari will have your kids singing and dancing along with her songs.
How much: Suggested $5 per child
Free Public Rowing
When: Saturday, August 1, 12-4pm
Where: Prospect Park’s Wellhouse Boat Ramp
What: Check out Prospect Park Lake by rowboat, thanks to the Prospect Park Alliance and Village Community Boathouse — which have again teamed up to offer the free public rowing on Saturdays.

Ezra Jack Keats Story Hour
When: Saturday, August 1, 2-3pm
Where: Prospect Park’s Imagination Playground
What: Gather around Peter and Willie, the statue of two beloved Keats characters, for storytelling adventures brought to life by Tammy Hall. Sponsored by the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation.
How Much: Free!
Peter Pan And The Pirates
When: Saturday, August 1, 3pm & 4pm
Where: Prospect Park’s Zucker Natural Exploration Area
What: Eva Dean Dance Company will turn Zucker Natural Exploration Area into Neverland for their presentation of Peter Pan and the Pirates.
How Much: Free!
Toddler Tuesdays
When: Tuesday, August 4, 9:30am
Where: LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park
What: Enjoy some toddler-only dedicated skate time on the rink, as kids ages 2-5 and their caregivers will skate to instructor-led games, music, play-based activities — plus there are snacks and beverages.
How much: $15 for one child and accompanying adult; adult skate rentals are $5 (kid skate and helmet rentals are included). Tickets available in advance.
Sing-Along With Miss Katie
When: Tuesday, August 4, 11am
Where: Lark Cafe, 1007 Church Avenue
What: Singing a mix of classic kid favorites and rare folk gems, Miss Katie is known for bringing the sing-along fun to Brooklyn families! As one parent put it, “Miss Katie knows how to connect with caregivers, parents and children to bring out the rhythm in all of us.”
How much: $10 per family
Toddler Tuesday At Studio 1203
When: Tuesday, August 4, 4pm
Where: Studio 1203, 1203 Church Avenue
What: Children are invited to this sing- and dance-along with the fabulous pianist and teacher Maxine Feldman, who will perform Disney classics, theater favorites, standards,and event the Beatles on a baby grand piano. The program is designed for children from age 0 to 4 and their caregivers, but siblings are welcome as well. Every program finishes with a chance for each child to take their own turn at the piano.
