Meet your neighbors, find some plants for your garden, enjoy some live music, and more at the annual Spring Festival and Plant Sale at local community garden 6/15 Green, coming up this Saturday, May 16 from 11am until dark.

Located at the corner of 6th Avenue and 15th Street, the garden is inviting neighbors to stop by for the plant sale (11am-3pm), which will feature flowers, vegetable plants, and heirloom plants.

Also look out for a bake sale (11am-3pm), face painting and games for the kids, plus live music from Under The Willow Gorilla Baroque (12-2pm), Ta Aidhona presenting a sung tribute to Spring gardens of Greece (2-3pm); Bob Goldberg on accordion (3-4pm); John Kessel/Mystery Band (4-5pm); and Stumblebunny (5pm-on).

And stick around for the potluck that starts at 3pm — just bring some food to share!

Can’t make it to the big event, but still looking for plants? They’ll also be selling them on Sunday, May 17 from 11am-3pm; Tuesday, May 19 and Thursday May 21 from 4-8pm; and Saturday, May 23 from 11am-3pm (raindate Sunday, May 24, 11am-3pm).

All sales of plants and baked goods go directly to support the garden, which was founded in 1994 and continues to welcome visitors to its serene space during open hours, and has over 100 active local members.
