Plant, Eat, Drink, And Craft At Butterflies, Bulbs And Bookmarks
The Cortelyou Library Friends group and The Farm On Adderley will be hosting Butterflies, Bulbs, and Bookmarks, an event to celebrate replanting the planters in the library plaza (1305 Cortelyou Rd. at the corner of Argyle), on Saturday, May 11 from 2-5pm. On hand will be food from The Farm, lemonade from Sycamore, and planting activities with Suzanna from Stems Flower Shop and Tracey Hohman. And also:
- Butterfly bookmark-making with Monica from Brooklyn ARTery
- A compost demo with Compost for Brooklyn
- Chris Kreussling from the Flatbush Gardener
- Performances by jazz trio Dan Loomis, Petr Cancura, and Martin Urbach; modern Americana/bluegrass group Ibex, and Ezra Guitar
The rain date for the event is May 18. May 11 is also Bike the Branches–so any hungry or thirsty riders from other neighborhoods can pop by and enjoy the fun, too.
