Pink House May Soon Be Brown

Pink House May Soon Be Brown

The bright pink house at 233 Garfield finally sold for $2,075,000, after being on the market a few times with no luck, and it looks like the new owner doesn’t care much for the electric hue.

Brownstoner first noted the sale yesterday – it hadn’t made their list of biggest sales of the week, a list that did include two $2.5M+ Park Slope spaces. So was the color what brought a lower sale price? The Daily News suggests it was, quoting the realtor who reported that one buyer got “cold feet about the pink.”

The News adds that the new owner checked with the city to make sure they would repaint the outside. Would you miss it if it goes back to brown?
