Photos: Halloween Scenes From Around Our Neighborhood
Photo via sharobust
From the Oompa Loompas to families of colorful sea creatures and many a super hero and heroine, we flooded our neighborhood streets with our funniest, most creative and elaborate costumes to celebrate Halloween at neighborhood parades Friday evening.
The Lindsay-Abaire family hosted the Prospect Park South parade at their home at 1306 Albemarle Road, which was decked out for the season and has, for weeks, drawn countless people to gawk at the amazing decorations.
We caught up with Pilates on Cortelyou’s Martina Nevermann and her troupe of Oompa Loompas!
Everyone wanted their photo with Willy Wonka’s workers – even the towering giant outside the Lindsay-Abaire house.
These neighbors helped give out thousands of pieces of candy out to the trick-or-treaters that poured onto Albemarle throughout the evening.
Thanks to neighbor Nathan Thompson for sending us the following fantastic photos, including of the 70th Precinct officers giving, as Nathan pointed out, support for us to hold an event of this size.
This family of pirates traveled in style…
As did this pirate mom!
Neighbor Michelle sent us this adorable photo of her 20-month-old daughter and pilot, Zoe:
As well as this great one of neighbors Jack, Zoe and Michelle:
Many of you also captured some spooky moments on Halloween:
