Photo Of The Day: Harvest Dome 2.0
Harvest Dome 2.0 on the Gowanus Canal

Have you seen the new piece of trash — ahem — art made from recycled umbrella frames and soda bottles that’s floating in the Gowanus Canal?

Harvest Dome 2.0 was built by SLO Architecture and was recently transported here from Governor’s Island to bring attention to what was “once the site of a Tidal Saltmarsh and [is] now a polluted Superfund site seeking to recover its original ecology.” If you’d like to check it out, it can be seen from the 3rd Street Bridge.
