Pet Spotlight: Madden the Black Labrador Mix

We met 9-year-old Madden playing in the snow in Fort Greene Park with his owner, Jessica Tuttle.

Madden is named for the sportscaster John Madden, Tuttle said.

“He loves winter, he’s so happy when it snows,” Tuttle said. She and her husband adopted him as a puppy from a shelter in Montreal, Canada. The shelter told her he was a Black Labrador and Border Collie mix. They moved to Fort Greene three years ago from Toronto.

“It’s the greatest place to have a dog,” Tuttle said.

“We have the luxury of this beautiful park in the middle of the neighborhood,” Tuttle said. “I just wish we had more off-leash hours.”
