Person Pulled from Under L Train at Bedford Avenue

WILLIAMSBURG – A person was pulled from under the L Train at the Bedford Avenue station today, the FDNY confirms.

Fire officials said they received a call at 11:19 am of a person trapped under the train and responded to the scene, where they were able to remove the victim from the tracks. They were not able to provide a name or details on the individual’s condition, only that they had been transported to Bellevue Hospital.

It is not clear how the victim came to be trapped under the train.

At 12:18 pm, the MTA website read that L train service had resumed “following an NYPD investigation at Bedford Av.”

An NYPD spokesperson had no information about the event as of 12:35 pm.
