Pedestrian Killed In Flatlands At A Marked Crosswalk

FLATLANDS – Another pedestrian was killed by a driver. This time, a 33-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle last week.

Ingrid Pineda-Cuellar was crossing the street at Avenue L and Utica Avenue on Thursday, June 27 at around 6:53 a.m. Cops say she was crossing west to east on a marked crosswalk on Utica Avenue when a 2014 Toyota Sienna made a left turn from Avenue L onto Utica. The vehicle hit the woman and left her in serious condition with severe body trauma.

Pineda-Cuellar, an East Flatbush resident, was taken to Kings County Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver remained at the scene and as of today, there have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
