Pedestrian Hit By Van At Corner Of Beverley Road And Ocean Avenue

A 71-year-old-man was hit by the driver of white Ford E-250 van around 7:20pm Thursday evening as he crossed Ocean Avenue at the corner of Beverley Road, according to the police.

The van, which was heading southbound on Ocean Avenue and had a green light, hit the man as he crossed the corner diagonally, said police. The pedestrian sustained head trauma and was taken to Kings County Hospital in serious condition, according to FDNY. The driver of the van remained on the scene.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
