Partial Closures On Gowanus Bridges Next Two Weekends

Heads up if you drive over the Union Street or 3rd Street bridges to cross the Gowanus — each will have a partial closure coming up, which could mean a bit of slow going in the area.

The NYC Department of Transportation Division of Bridges is continuing daytime work to restore mechanical and electrical equipment in the bridges. They will close one lane at a time, though through-traffic will be maintained, between 7am and 1pm on the following dates:

• Saturday, December 13: Union Street
  Saturday, December 21: 3rd Street

Note that if the weather is bad, they may have to reschedule the work.
