Part of Tree Down on Rugby

Part of a tree has fallen across the sidewalk and onto a car (doesn’t look like any serious damage to the car) on Rugby Road between Albemarle and Beverley, which neighbor Ann Simkins noticed while out walking a dog.

This joins two other tree incidents in the past week, and it’s the second that’s happened on a day without the weather you’d expect would create tree damage. It’s also yet another one that doesn’t look unhealthy–we’re surprised that we haven’t seen this happen to one of the many dead trees and limbs we’ve spotted in the area.

This one happens to be on the back of the block-wide property of 145 Argyle Road, which had been for sale recently, though it looks like it sold in May, and it’s no longer listed on Corcoran’s website (if so, why are the for sale signs still on the property?). Whoever is responsible for the property at this point, hopefully they clear this tree away soon, and then consider fixing up the sidewalk back there, too.
