The last week of July is already here, but there are still plenty of great activities happening in Park Slope this weekend, including Shakespeare, a book fair, comedy, music and more. Don’t miss some of our favorite events from around the area:

Celebrate Brooklyn!: Clifford Ross & The Orchestra Of St. Luke’s
When: Thursday, July 30, 7:30pm
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, Prospect Park West at 9th Street
What: Don’t let this evening’s damp forecast keep you away from a multi-screen and site specific art instillation by artist Clifford Ross, with musical accompaniment from the Orchestra of St. Lukes.
How much: Free.

Calloway’s Salon, A Cabaret Of Sorts
When: Thursday, July 30, 10pm
Where: Threes Brewing, 333 Douglass Street
What: Come be dazzled as Calloway and his closest friends and enemies take you through their musings on sex, money, torture and how one is truly the loneliest number.
How much: $10

Lola Star’s Dreamland Roller Disco
When: Friday, July 31, 7:30pm
Where: LeFrak Center, Lakeside
What: If our friends at Dreamland have anything to say about it, disco will never die, so bust out your best ’70s fashion, because this Friday is all about those glorious disco divas. Note that admission is restricted to guests ages 21 and older. For more information, or to buy tickets in advance, visit the Dreamland website.
How much: $18 (includes admission and skate rental).

Celebrate Brooklyn!: Big K.R.I.T.
When: Friday, July 31, 7:30pm
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, Prospect Park West at 9th Street
What: Big K.R.I.T. will make sure the bandshell “shines like a supernova” this Friday, when the rapper hits the Celebrate Brooklyn! stage.
How much: Free.

The 90’s Sing-Along
When: Friday, July 31, 9:30pm
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union Street
What: Come sing along to your favorite 90’s music videos, wear your best outfit flannel for the costume contest, capture the moment with the 90’s themed photo booth, and eat lots of 90’s candy. There will also be themed drinks, including a Surge Soda Cocktail.
How much: $10, tickets available here.

Coffee Bark
When: Saturday, August 1, 7am-9am
Where: Meadow beside the Picnic House in Prospect Park (Enter at PPW and 3rd Street)
What: Fido’s popular Coffee Bark returns to Prospect Park on Saturday. There will be treats for dogs (and their owners), as well as information on off-leash activities.
How much: Free.

Brooklyn Small Press Flea
When: Saturday, August 1, 10am-4pm
Where: Central Library Plaza, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: This pop-up book fair features Brooklyn’s finest indie presses, including Archipelago Books, Electric Literature, Guillotine, Melville House, One Story, Ugly Duckling Presse, and many more.
How much: Free.

Adoptapalooza
When: Saturday, August 1, 11am-5pm
Where: Bartel Pritchard Square, 15th Street and PPW, Prospect Park
What: Give a furry pal a home this weekend, when the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals hosts Adoptapalooza. There will be over 150 pets to choose from, including a number of friends from local favorite Sean Casey Animal Rescue. In addition to giving a loving pet their forever home, folks can purchase a dog license, learn how to prepare for a pet emergency, take home free pet goodies, and more. For more information, and to take a peek at some of the animals up for adoption, visit the Adoptapalooza website.

Celebrate Brooklyn!: Taylor Mac Presents The 20th Century Abridged
When: Saturday, August 1, 7:30pm
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, Prospect Park West at 9th Street
What: Join performer Taylor Mac, as he leads the Celebrate Brooklyn! audience on an “outrageously entertaining romp through 100 years of culture as seen through songs that range from Tin Pan Alley to the birth of rock ‘n’ roll to disco and beyond.”
How much: Free.

Much Ado About Nothing
When: Saturday, August 1, 8pm
Where: Old Stone House, Washington Park
What: If you missed their performance at Summer Strolls last Saturday, come watch South Brooklyn Shakespeare perform their well-reviewed Much Ado About Nothing at the Old Stone House.
How much: Free.

Accord Treble Choir
When: Sunday, August 2, 7pm
Where: Barbes, 376 9th Street at 6th Avenue
What: Come hear this seven-voice a Capella ensemble that takes listeners across the choral spectrum of musical styles and time periods in no less than ten languages, including Eastern European folk songs, modern choral music, Renaissance motets, and pop songs.
How much: $10 (strongly) suggested donation.

Josh Sharp Sings! Live!
When: Sunday, August 2, 7:30pm
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union Street
What: In the mood for some comedy? Check out this great lineup featuring Josh Sharp, Jordan Klepper, Liza Treyger, and Jo Firestone.
How much: $8 advanced / $10 day of show, tickets available here.
