Park Slope Weekday Events Spotlight: October 12-14
Don’t wait until the weekend for a little neighborhood fun! With everything from rock n’ roll, a raga jam, and tango lessons, there’s plenty going on in Park Slope this week. Below are some of our favorite events from around the area.
For even more things to do around Brooklyn, and to add your own upcoming events (some of which we’ll feature in this roundup in the future!), check out our calendar.
AM Aesthetic and More
When: Monday, October 12, 7:30pm
Where: The Rock Shop, 249 4th Avenue, between Carroll and President Streets
What: Childhood friends, Rob Suchecki and Patrick Raimondi of AM Aesthetic started playing in bands together at age 12 in rural Connecticut. Rob’s uncle had been giving him guitar lessons on a miniature acoustic since he was 8 and Patrick had discovered his dad’s 50’s Epiphone guitar beneath his bed a few years earlier. Patrick gravitated towards the bass and, with a mutual love of punk, blues and alternative rock, he and Rob spent the next ten years performing countless shows in grimy bars they were far too young to be in. With Adam Sullivan and The Trees, The New Schematics, Circadian Clock, and Oh!Mega!
How much: $7-$10, Tickets available here.
