Park Slope Rental Roundup: 1-Bedroom Apartments
Looking for a new place to call home? We’ve rounded up a a few 1-bedroom apartments going for under $2,200 per month that are currently available to rent in the neighborhood — take a look at the details, and let us know what you think. Lots of luck in your search!
573 2nd Street, #A7
Price: $2,150
Available: November 21
Details: The kitchen in this space is a bit set off from the living area, but is still open to it, so if you’re entertaining, you’ll be in on the action while you’re cooking — and then you can continue to enjoy your company while the dishwasher runs, not while you’re scrubbing plates. The rent includes not just the common heat and hot water, but also gas. See the space in person at an open house this weekend, both on Saturday (12-2pm) and Sunday (1:30-3:30pm).

492 3rd Street, #3A
Price: $2,100
Available: December 1
Details: Unlike the space above, this apartment may not be a good bet for someone who likes to cook — the kitchen, though functional, is definitely on the small side. It’s a couple blocks from the 3rd St entrance to Prospect Park, which will be nice if you have a dog (pets are allowed). One weird thing, though — there appear to be two listings for this apartment, and the other is priced a few hundred dollars more per month.

843 Carroll Street, #4F
Price: $1,950
Available: Immediately
Details: This is a handsome apartment with a lot of original details — but also some odd quirks as part of the rental agreement. First, you’ll have to be okay without a bathtub, as there’s only a shower. Then, you’ll need to agree to an 18-month lease. Finally, electricity is included in the rent, which is a nice bonus — but if you want to run an air conditioner, there’s a $595 surcharge per year, which seems like they assume you’d be keeping very, very cold.

109 5th Avenue, #3F
Price: $1,850
Available: Immediately
Details: Nice exposed brick and tin ceiling in the living room of this space, which has a pretty decent looking kitchen (pictured above), despite its smaller size. Though it’s right above busy 5th Avenue, the location does put you within a quick walk to several subway lines at Atlantic Ave.
