When I First Held You: Writers On Fatherhood
When: Thursday, June 5, 7pm
Where: Community Bookstore, 143 7th Avenue
What: Conversations and stories about modern fatherhood from authors Lev Grossman, Rick Moody, Ben Greenman, and Darin Strauss, contributors to the anthology When I First Held You: 22 Critically Acclaimed Writers Talk About the Triumphs, Challenges, and Transformative Experience of Fatherhood. Moderated by anthology editor and Pen Parentis Literary Salon curator Brian Gresko.

Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale
When: Friday, June 6, 8pm
Where: All Saints Church, 86 7th Avenue
What: A dynamic chorus with high musical standards, the Conservatory Chorale explores and performs a rich variety of musical styles, both a cappella and with accompaniment, from the Renaissance to the present.
How much: $15, $10 for students and seniors, tickets available in advance

The Final Karaoke Killed The Cat
When: Friday, June 6, 11pm
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union Street
What: Come sing a goodbye tune to Karaoke Killed the Cat after their great five-year run at Union Hall. Chris Goldteeth and Lord Easy have been a staple in the basement and in our hearts, and will be missed (The Kings of Karaoke take up the reins next week).

Park Slope Singers Concert: Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass
When: Sunday, June 8, 5pm
Where: St. Augustine Church, 116 6th Avenue
What: The Park Slope Singers conclude their 21st season with a performance of Haydn’s Missa No. 11 in D Minor, conducted by Ira Spaulding.
