Brooklyn Reading Works: Funny Pages – New Plays
When: Thursday, April 23, 8pm
Where: The Old Stone House, 336 3rd Street
What: It’s the fourth annual Funny Pages event, featuring Tammi Cubilette, Don Cummings, Blair Fell, Marian Fontana, and Matthew Widman doing monologues, readings, plays, and more.
How much: $5 donation includes wine and snacks,

The Wilderness Of Ruins: A Tale Of Madness, Fire, And The Hunt For America’s Youngest Serial Killer
When: Friday, April 23, 8pm
Where: Morbid Anatomy Museum, 424A 3rd Avenue
What: A meticulously researched and fascinating account of our country’s most notorious serial killers contextualized within historical, scientific, and literary perspectives.
How much: $5, tickets available in advance.

Pink Olive Grand Reopening Party
When: Saturday, April 25, 1-5pm
Where: Pink Olive, 167 5th Avenue
What: Check out their newly revamped space, enjoy some hard cider from Warwick Winery and snacks from BcakeNY, and if you get there early, you may get a gift bag, which they’re handing out to the first 10 guests.

Bella Voce Singers Spring Concert: To the Power Of Three
When: Saturday, April 25, 3pm
Where: Greenwood Baptist Church, 461 6th Street
What: A concert of choral works that can be divided up into various categories (three of each, of course), by composers ranging from Tomas Luis de Vitoria to Freddy Mercury, all to decide once and for all if three is indeed a magic number.
How much: $15 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors.

If You Leave: Pretty In Pink ’80s Prom
When: Saturday, April 25, 9pm
Where: Littlefield, 622 Degraw Street
What: An excellent ’80s soundtrack for dancing, a photobooth for all the memories you’ll want to cherish forever, and a costume contest — so come dressed in your best puffy-sleeved dresses and powder blue tuxedos.
How much: $5 in advance, $7 at the door.

Spring Civic Sweep
When: Sunday, April 25, 10am-2pm
Where: The Old Stone House, 336 3rd Street
What: Volunteers will work throughout town to help in weeding and mulching street trees; picking up litter; and painting out graffiti on lampposts (with adult supervision). Plus, the Park Slope Civic Council will provide refreshments and all necessary tools and supplies, and there will also be live music.

Lakeside Clean Up
When: Sunday, April 26, 11am-1pm
Where: Prospect Park
What: Help WILD for Prospect Park clear the banks of the lake to create a safer home for the wildlife. Volunteers will meet at the lakeside near Vanderbilt Street and Prospect Park Southwest, across from the barbecue area, before beginning the clean up. RSVP by emailing info@wildforprospectpark.org.

Classical Interludes: Theo Bleckmann
When: Sunday, April 25, 4pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Grammy-nominated jazz singer Theo Bleckmann will be performing his accessible but sophisticated style of music, accompanied by Israeli pianist Shai Maestro. Children under the age of six will not be admitted.
How much: Free, but RSVP to ensure you get a seat.
