Park Slope Open House Picks: Duplexes

Park Slope Open House Picks: Duplexes
For Sale: Condo at 133 Sterling Place

This week, we take a look at some of the duplex apartments on the market in the neighborhood that are hosting open houses this weekend. Any thoughts on these?

133 Sterling Place
Open House: Sunday, August 18, 12-2pm
This is a duplex corner apartment featuring 1,800 square feet across 2 levels. The 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo (pictured above) gets lots of light throughout the day. Priced low by motivated seller. For more information, contact David Maryl at 917-971-2237. [Paid listing]

636 Warren Street, #1R
Open House: Sunday, August 18, 1:30-3:30pm
Skygroup Realty is listing this duplex condo for $899,000, and though the common charges aren’t noted, the listing claims they’re “extraordinarily low.” Lots of prep space in the airy kitchen, and the arched brick windows you’ll look at while cooking aren’t too bad either. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and pets allowed. The main drawback might be that it’s on the corner of 4th Avenue.

153 Lincoln Place, #3C
Open House: Sunday, August 18, 12-2pm
If you’ve got $1,459,000 (plus $584/month for common charges, as listed by Corcoran) and a love of history (and the views ain’t too shabby, either), then this might be the place for you. This 2-bed, 2.5-bath duplex condo is in the former Lincoln Plaza Hotel, which used to be a much more colorful (in more ways than one!) place. The photos show a nicely redone kitchen and bathrooms, but the space you’ll want to check out is the private terrace.

529 1st Street, #1
Open House: Sunday, August 18, 2:30-3:30pm
With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this is the most spacious duplex on our list, but also the priciest. Listed by Halstead for $1,599,000 with a $599 maintenance fee, this co-op is in the parlor and lower level of a townhouse, so it looks like it could get a little dark on that garden floor. However, it has access to a private backyard, and the wood-burning fireplace in the kitchen would be a nice place to hang out when it’s too cold to go outside.
