Park Slope Open House Picks

Park Slope Open House Picks
490 2nd St #3 via Town

Looking for a new place to call home? From a floor-through with a wood-burning fireplace to a studio that comes with a parking space, we’ve rounded up a few places that are for sale and are hosting open houses this weekend, and have broken down the offerings below. What do you think?

917 President Street, #1
Open House: Sunday, November 23, 12:30-2:30pm
List Price: $1,495,000, maintenance $1,050, via Corcoran
Details: If you’re looking for a co-op but don’t necessarily want to be in a big building, this 2-bed, 1-bath unit is in the parlor level of a brownstone. It’s got plenty of lovely original details, like pocket doors and carved mantles (around, unfortunately, simply decorative fireplaces). The kitchen was recently updated and looks like a cook’s dream, and the living room is made for readers — there are floor-to-ceiling built-in shelves and sliding library ladders. One downside, potentially: no pets allowed.

490 2nd Street, #3
Open House: Sunday, November 23, 12:45-1:45pm
List Price: $999,000, maintenance $475, via Town
Details: Another floor-through co-op in a townhouse, this one is also a 2-bed, 1-bath, also has a nicely updated kitchen (pictured above). Aside from the price, the other differences are that this space looks to be smaller, but you can bring along pets, there’s a working fireplace, and you’ve got access to a roof deck. Oh man, and there’s radiant heating in the bathroom floor, which on a morning like today would be kind of amazing.

225 Lincoln Place, #4C
Open House: Sunday, November 23, 12:30-2pm
List Price: $769,000, maintenance $1,054, via Brown Harris Stevens
Details: And another 2-bed, 1-bath co-op, this one in a 6-story, 56-unit elevator building that was built in 1923. The kitchen is not quite as spacious as the ones listed above, but this space does have a pantry. The master bedroom can fit a king-sized bed, and looks like it has a good-sized closet, as well. The unit does not have a washer/dryer, but there is laundry in the building. Pets are allowed.

220 Berkeley Place, #3E
Open House: Sunday, November 23, 12:30-1:30pm
List Price: $388,000, maintenance $568, via Brownstone Real Estate
Details: This is a 460-square-foot studio that’s a block and a half off of Grand Army Plaza. On the plus side, it’s got a separate alcove kitchen — but that kitchen looks like it could use some updating. But for those who have a car, this could be a great spot, since a parking spot is included in the sale.
