Park Slope Open House Picks
Looking for a new place to call home? We’ve rounded up a few places that are hosting open houses this weekend — what do you think?
91 Garfield Place
Open House: Saturday, February 15 & Sunday, February 16, 1-2:30pm
List Price: $3,300,000, via owner
Details: This is a legal four-family that the listing calls “competitively priced” and negotiable — we took a look at another four-family that’s on the market recently, 246 Baltic, which is listed for $2,495,000, to give you an idea of what else is out there. As it is now, it’s got three 1.5-bedroom apartments and one 1-bedroom apartment, though you could always turn it into a single or two-family. The listing has just one pic of the inside, which makes it look like it’s in pretty good shape, though it notes it could used some updating.
309 2nd Street, #4E
Open House: Sunday, February 16, 1-3pm
List Price: $1,100,000, common charges $486, via Brown Harris Stevens
Details: This 2-bed, 2-bath condo has a private terrace, a washer/dryer in the unit, and allows pets. Opened in 2008, the appliances in the kitchen and the fixtures in the bathroom are all still pretty new. One of the nicest features is that the building is wired for Verizon FiOS, which anyone who’s dealt with TWC (or will have to deal with their possible new overlords) will tell you is a major plus.
118 Sterling Place #4A
Open House: Sunday, February 16, 1-3pm
List Price: $$689,000, common charges $411, via Aguayo & Huebener Realty
Details: Another 2-bed condo, this just has one bathroom and lacks the outdoor space, but it also doesn’t carry quite the hefty price tag. Built in 1920, there aren’t any interesting details in the space, but it is tastefully redone, there’s a washer/dryer and a dishwasher, and pets are welcome.
678 Union Street, #5A
Open House: Sunday, February 16, 1-3pm
List Price: $549,000, common charges $417, via Corcoran
Details: Yet another condo on the market — this one is a 1-bed, 1-bath, and you’ve got exclusive access to the roof (which was replaced in 2010), and what look like some pretty nice views from inside the apartment, as well. Plus, there’s a tax abatement through 2024. The photos tell us at least cats are allowed.
300 8th Avenue, #4B
Open House: Sunday, February 2, 12:30-2:30pm
List Price: $195,000, maintenance $419, via Brooklyn Properties
Details: This studio in a co-op building is looking for an all-cash buyer. It’s a nice little space for crashing, and it’s close enough to Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, and cafes and restaurants along 7th Avenue that you may not even want to spend much time indoors.
