Paid, Part-Time Community Jobs Available for Retirees
Retirees who want to rejoin the workforce on a part-time basis while contributing their skills to important causes are in luck. Our Assemblymember Rhoda Jacobs sends word that the ReServe program offers continuing professionals ages 55 and older the opportunity to do just that, in exchange for a modest stipend.
Participants in the ReServe program are matched with community-based organizations, public institutions, and government agencies to contribute to short-term or ongoing projects that require specialized skills.
According to the ReServe website, “these part-time positions can be ongoing or time limited, in work environments that welcome experience and dedication. In most cases, a work schedule can be tailored to fit [participants’] requirements.”
Participants work approximately 10-20 hours a week and are paid $10/hour for their services.
Not sure what’s available in our area, but with programs at city agencies, schools, and more, there are a lot of possibilities. Register here to see what opportunities are available.
