Good news for fans of Milk Bar in Prospect Heights. Owner Alexander Hall tells us that renovations have already begun at 240 Prospect Park West, between Prospect Avenue and Windsor Place, for a new cafe called Brunswick.

“The cafe’s theme will be very similar to Milk Bar,” Alexander said via email Monday, “great coffee, friendly service in a clean modern environment. We will be serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week from 7am to 6pm.

“I have loved that neighborhood ever since I moved from Australia,” he continued, “so I’m so excited to be opening a store there.”

Alexander, who also owns Bluebird Coffee Shop in Manhattan, and is the former owner of Cafe Madeline in Ditmas Park, said “the space will be amazing,” adding that they are “enclosing the back yard in a glass atrium which is where the seating will be.”

If all goes according to plan, Brunswick is scheduled to open March 1.
