Green-woodstock 2012, from the Friends of Greenwood Playground, is a day of music, food, and bargains. They welcome anyone from local artisans to stoop-salers to food vendors. And something much larger…

Art Takes Times Square will turn a dozen of the most iconic video billboards in Times Square into a larger than life gallery of art. Presented by chashama in collaboration with Times Square Alliance, and produced by Artists Wanted, Art Takes Times Square gives participants an opportunity to show their work on the glittering screens, win thousands of dollars, and be seen by millions.

For other opportunities around the city, a great resource is the New York Foundation for the Arts. So make sure to check them out.
