One Good Thing All That Snow Gave Us: Nargis Is Now Delivering

Okay, it snows. You get some pretty photos. And then, bam, it just sucks for the next few weeks until it melts.

Well, besides the photos, there’s one more good thing the snow brought: delivery from Nargis Cafe (2818 Coney Island Avenue). The Uzbeki restaurant began offering delivery service on January 27, the day Winter Storm Juno hit the boroughs, and the owners say they were inspired by the storm to make sure their patrons get their fill of pillowy manti and savory plov.

While the storefront was empty the day the storm hit, and New York City was a veritable ghost town, the business made the announcement on Facebook… and the samsa flowed.

Update (2:09pm): As one of our readers pointed out, they’ve been doing delivery for a few years. Our story was based on an announcement on Facebook, as well as a press release they issued. I called up owner Boris Bangiev, who offered a mea culpa… and now we offer one to you, too. Sorry!
