Olivier French-Bistro Opens On 4th Avenue
Olivier French-Bistro (474 4th Avenue, between 10th and 11th Streets) quietly opened their doors on Thursday morning, and owner Olivier (shown above right with head chef Guillaume) excitedly told us that South Slope has a number of new dining opportunities on the horizon.
For now, the space will operate as a daytime cafe, offering sandwiches, pastries, coffee and fresh juices (the lemonade is as good as it looks). Brunch will begin the weekend of July 27, and they hope to introduce dinner service the following week.
The cafe is cash only, and offers no wi-fi, but it’s definitely a fantastic spot to grab a quick cup on your way to the subway. We’ll keep you posted on official hours, and when brunch and dinner service starts, but in the meantime, be sure to stop by and welcome Olivier and his crew to the neighborhood.
