NYPD to Hold Blood Drive at 61st Precinct

The local New York City Police Department’s 61st Precinct in conjunction with the Brooklyn/Staten Island Blood Services (A Division of the New York Blood Center) is having a blood drive next Thursday, November 13.

According to information on the flyer, Brooklyn is falling behind in the number of residents who donate with only 2 percent giving blood, compared to the nationwide average of 5 percent. Something tells me that Brooklyn also uses up quite a bit of that blood donated, as well.

We encourage you to muster up the strength and head on over to the Muster Room on the 1st Floor at the 61st Precinct. The ad promises a free gift to those who are brave enough to come out for the effort.
