NYPD Seeks Bed-Stuy Resident After Assault on Man and Daughter

WILLIAMSBURG – Police are searching for Jesus Centeno in connection with the assault of a 25-year old man and his 2-year old daughter last month.

On October 6, around 8:40 am, Centeno approached the victim and his daughter from behind and sprayed them in the face with an unknown substance, said police. The attack occurred outside the McDonald’s at 700 Broadway, near the Flushing Avenue JMZ stop.

Centeno fled the scene on foot, heading east down Broadway towards Flushing Avenue, said police. The victim and his daughter were taken to Woodhull Hospital by EMS, where they were treated and released.

Jesus Centeno is described by police as 5’7” and 160 lbs., last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts. He is a resident of the nearby Tompkins Houses in Bed-Stuy.
