NYPD Searching For Suspect In East Flatbush Shooting

EAST FLATBUSH – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the below surveillance video and photo in connection to a shooting that occurred in broad daylight earlier this month.

At approximately 3:20pm on Saturday, September 9 in front of 1283 Rogers Avenue (on the corner of Foster Avenue), police say the suspect walked up to a 23-year-old man and shot him twice—once in the torso and once in the right foot. The suspect then fled the scene west on Foster Avenue.

The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, black sweatpants, black sneakers, and a black and white du-rag.
