NYPD Searching For Man Accused Of Stealing Cell Phone At 18th Avenue Subway Station

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help tracking down a suspect who police said is wanted for allegedly stealing a straphanger’s cell phone while on board the F train at the 18th Avenue subway station.

According to police, the man allegedly snagged the phone from the 69-year-old male victim at about 4:30pm on Friday, April 17 while aboard the F train and fled.

Police described the suspect as a black or Hispanic man who is 6-feet-2-inches tall, weighs between 160 and 200 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers, and a black bandana on his head.
