NYPD Releases Photo Of Stabbing Suspect In Attack On David Henry Hwang

Surveillance images have been released by the NYPD of a suspect in the knife assault on Fort Greene resident and prominent Broadway playwright David Henry Hwang.

Seen above and in the Wanted poster below, the suspect is shown crossing the street in white sneakers, shorts, a backpack, hooded sweatshirt, and hair tied back in a possible bun — it looks like a woman to us, but could be a man, so see if you recognize them.

If you recognize them or have other information as regards the slashing that left Hwang bleeding onto the sidewalk of South Portland Avenue and Lafayette and DeKalb Avenues as he made his way to Brooklyn Hospital, contact Detective Anthony Barbee at 718 636-6547.
