NYPD Recovers Cache Of Guns And Ammunition In Red Hook

RED HOOK – The NYPD announced last week that PSA 1 officers recently recovered twelve firearms, six bulletproof vests, a crossbow, and thousands of rounds of ammunition during a search of an apartment on Visitation Place.

Police say the February 24 search was part of an ongoing investigation into drug activity in the area. Along with recovering the weapons, the officers made five arrests at the scene. One 26-year-old man and four women ranging in age from 27 to 44 were arrested and charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

“I’ve been in the command for over a year and this is the largest gun seizure that I have seen,” said PSA 1 Field Intelligence Officer, Sergeant Sheldon Arrindell.
