Now that all of the local cherubs have returned to the hallowed halls of learning, how’s a busy mom and/or dad supposed to reliably keep tabs on the ever-changing world of NYC public schools?  Their cellphone, of course. Parents can text “nycschools” to 877-877  and receive everything from calendar information and daily cafeteria offerings to enrollment details and access instructions for ARIS Parent Link (an online portal for parents to monitor their student’s attendance and grades).

Take heed, youngsters, the parental units are watching.
