No Parking & Buses Rerouted For Street Fair This Sunday

No Parking & Buses Rerouted For Street Fair This Sunday
fabulous fifth: no parking

Coming up this Sunday, May 17 from 12-6pm we’ve got the Fabulous Fifth Avenue Fair, which means shopping, eating, games, rides, music — and, of course, some traffic changes as the street festival shuts down a portion of a local road for much of the day.

The stretch of 5th Avenue from Sterling Place to 12th Street will be closed to vehicles for those hours, and you’ll want to make sure you’re not parked on the street on Sunday morning or you’ll risk being towed. If you’re heading to the fair, leave the car at home, as parking will be difficult.

Also, from 10am-7pm, watch out for changes to a bus route that runs down 5th Avenue:

B63 buses rerouted from 5th Ave between Atlantic Ave and 16th St: Buses will run via 4th Ave making corresponding stops in both directions. See details here.

One last reminder: Saturday is the Brooklyn Half Marathon, which means lots of closed roadways in our area, so this might be a great weekend to rely on public transportation — check out the weekend changes to our local lines here.
