NightShul at the East Midwood Jewish Center (1625 Ocean Avenue, between Avenues K and L) continues on Thursday, March 19 and Thursday, March 26 with courses on “What You Need to Know About Passover,” “How to Understand the Siddur” and “How to Honor Life Transitions with Rituals, such as the Mikveh.”

Tomorrow, March 19, there will be a special two-hour celebration, recalling “The Golden Age of Cantors in Brooklyn: an Evening of Music and Stories,” featuring four cantors.

Each March and April class begins and ends with a wine and cheese social at 7pm and at 9pm, but on March 26 there will be a Matzoh Ball with live music, drinks and refreshments.

NightShul in April offers “Rabbi’s Biographies of Themselves (funny, serious, outlandish) and “Prayer & Poetry Pack a Punch.”

Classes are $12 each or $10 for members. The Matzoh Ball is $15 for the event alone, $12 with the class, or $9 for those with monthly tickets.

NightShul will continue in May with more fascinating learning events.
