Night Out Against Crime
Last night the weather was perfect for a night of celebrating community all the good people that keep it safe. There were speeches, prayers, music, performances, laughter and a chance to say “Hi” and say “Thank You.”
Todd Maisel stopped with his camera by the 60th Precinct in Coney Island, 63rd Precinct in Marine Park and 73rd Precinct in Brownsville last night. Brownsville was rocked by the largest mass shooting in Brooklyn in years just a couple of weeks ago. Mayor De Blasio announced $9 million in funds for Brownsville last night to strengthen the community.
Happy to have so many of my colleagues in government come out to #Brownsville for #NationalNightOut 2019. It is so important that we work together now for the community we all deserve. pic.twitter.com/FmWaqwItr6
