Four years ago, the company’s owner, Steve Sommers, discussed the changes along 7th Avenue between Flatbush Ave and 15th St, which at the time had 27 empty storefronts, the Brooklyn Paper noted. “It was a bubble, but now all the hot air is getting let out,” he told the paper, saying that rents had perhaps been too high.

The turnover certainly hasn’t stopped since then, though retail spaces don’t seem to stay on the market very long — so we’re curious to see what might end up in this space next.
