NYPD Searching For Man Who Robbed Newkirk Plaza Chase Branch Today
The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man in the photos above who is believed to be connected to a bank robbery that occurred today — Saturday — at Newkirk Plaza.
Police say that they received a report that the man entered the Chase Bank at Newkirk Plaza around 11am Saturday morning and approached a teller with a note demanding money. The teller complied, police said, and the suspect fled the bank with $2,000.
The suspected bank robber is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black cap and a black and white scarf with stars.
