New Yorkers Get Super Jipped At Saturday Supermoon Viewing

Unfortunately, the supermoon was a disappoinment for lunar-loving New Yorkers who instead witnessed a lot of clouds.

“I waited near the Verrazano,” said J.R., a Gravesend resident. “It was too cloudy, I didn’t see it.”

The supermoon is a natural phenomena which occurs when a full moon approaches the closest point in its orbital path around Earth, according to the Huffington Post.
