DITMAS PARK — Remember where Kings County Wines used to be? Well, one of the owners is adding to their empire of fine wines and spirits.

Erika Lesser, who partnered with Adam Robertson to purchase T.B. Ackerson Wine and rebranded it to Kings County Wines, is opening a new store at 1205 Cortelyou Road. The Wine Store relocated to Cortelyou and Marlborough Rd. where Brooklyn Industries once stood back in October 2018.

The brown papered windows left neighbors wondering what would replace it.

Lesser is teaming up with Katherine Richey in a new venture that will serve beer, wine and food. The two applied to the New York’s State Liquor Association for a license on March 19, 2019. The license is still pending.

“In the meantime, we can share that what is going in the space is a wine bar owned by a team from Kings County Wines family,” wrote co-owner Kate Richey in an email.

Richey added that she and her co-owner expect to open late summer 2019.
