New Voices MS 443 Wins $1,000 Love Your Block Grant

It’s been a fantastic week for our neighborhood schools. First there was the $141,000 donation to PS 295 that will help fund their in-class music and after school band programs, and now we’ve discovered that New Voices MS 443 is one of the city’s Love Your Block grant winners.

New Voices is one of 25 community groups across NYC that received the $1,000 grant to help beautify the five boroughs.

The school is hosting a community cleanup effort on Saturday, April 26, from 1pm to 3pm. In addition general volunteers, there’s been a call for carpenters (or just folks who like to build) to help construct tree guards, and gardening supplies.
