The notice warns:

“Please note that there will be simulated gunfire effects during the hours of filming. Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) will be on-site to assist during filming.”

The production company notes that it is working in conjunction with the NYC Mayor’s Office for Film, Theater, and Broadcasting and the NYPD and has received all necessary permits for filming.

Council Member Carlos Menchaca, whose District 38 covers Red Hook, also sent out a notice advising locals, “If you hear unusual or loud sounds, please do not be alarmed. They are likely from the filming.”

He adds if any neighbors should have any questions or concerns during the filming, to call his office at 718-439-9012 or Universal Television’s Locations Department at 347-390-1082.
