New Surveillance Photo Gives Face To Suspect Who Grabbed 14-Year-Old Girl

Police are hoping a new surveillance photo will lead to the arrest of the man suspected of grabbing a 14-year-old girl last week while she walked home from school.

Cops say the man shown in the photograph approached the girl last Tuesday on East 7th Street, near Kings Highway. He allegedly put his arm around her and tried to lure her away. A struggle ensued until the girl was able to wrestle away from the stranger’s grasp, according to police.

ABC 7 reports that the girl had been walking home from B’Not Rachel High School For Girls. A staff member from another nearby school witnessed the struggle, the news channel reports.

The NYPD has released more than a half-dozen surveillance photos of the suspect since the incident was reported. However, the latest picture clearly shows the suspect’s face. Cops are asking for the public’s assistance identifying the man.

Authorities describe the suspect as describe the suspect as a white man, about 20 years old, five feet, eight inches tall, 150 pounds, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white collared shirt, a black jacket, black pants and black shoes.
