New renderings released by New York YIMBY show the look of the retail portion of Coney Island’s future 40-story tower, which will be built on the site of the Trump Village Shopping Center.

The four-story, 109,000-square-foot retail building, located at 626 Sheepshead Bay Road, will be across the street from the residential high rise on Neptune Avenue. The two structures, which are being constructed by Cammeby’s International, will collectively be known as Neptune/Sixth. YIMBY reports that 81,319 square feet of the retail space will be dedicated for community facilities, which will likely house medical offices.

In April, the developer filed plans with the Department of Buildings to demolish Trump Village Shopping Center, YIMBY reports. However, the Russian grocery store adjacent to the strip mall will remain, according to the news site.

S9 Architecture and Engineering is designing the project, which will include an underground garage with 106 parking spaces and a shared roof terrace on the second floor, according to YIMBY.

The 40-story tower across the street is expected to be 470 feet tall, with 524 apartments. Work on the two buildings is scheduled to begin next year, with the Sheepshead Bay Road location expected to be completed in the spring of 2017, YIMBY reports.
